Basura Hipusa, Kahimsog Pangga-a (BAHKAP System) - a pilot study on the basic management and monitoring of solid and hazardous wastes in Bantayan
As we continue our effort to instill the discipline associated in solid waste management in a manner that is in accord with the best principles in public health, economics, engineering, conservation, aesthetics, and other environmental considerations – the Municipality of Bantayan have set its mandate toward institutionalizing the Basura Hipusa, Kahimsog Pangga-a (BAHKAP) System. BAHKAP was adopted by the local government unit of Bantayan in 2020. It was introduced as Trash for Health (T4H) program by Zoological Society of London-Philippines – a conservation organization in cooperation with the Development Consulting Group, Inc. (DCGI).
